B L U E S

A trend that I have noticed for sometime now is  'Denim on denim' and I thought I would jump on the band wagon and try it out myself.  And I'm actually happen with the way it turned out.

I like the fact that with this Ksubi shirt in particular it may look simple , but it's small details  like the jersey ribbing around the neck and shoulder  zip detaling that takes it to a whole new level. Pairing that with my staple asos jeans , silver rings and reflective sunnies and your in perfect brunch attire cool, stylish and casual.

MONOCHRO for Brunch!

If you've seen my Instagram you know that I've been wearing this jacket around a lot ( even though there is only two photo's of me in the jacket, I still feel like it's a lot haha). I wore this ensemble out to brunch catching up with the lovely Taylor from 'Curvette' while she was in town.

Before hand I was looking for the perfect location to shoot this look with my friend, then I came across this beautiful building at her uni ( you'd understand if your an architect fanatic like us). Originally we were going to shoot just in front and around the building but after being told that it gets fairly busy we opted for in doors instead. And I'm glad we did.  The repetition of wooden panels inside the building made it even more of a place perfect to shoot.

DOTS & STRIPES

Recently british designer 'Henry Holland' collaborated with illustrating duo 'Craig & Carl' (one of my all time favorite illustrators) creating a collection inspired by the world of ice and sweet treats. With the collection debuting Mr & Mrs Quiffy scarfs, shirts, dress, skirts and other bits and pieces. All of which consisted of polka dots and stripes #OHBABY

Ever since I laid my eye's on this 'Mr Quiffy' shirt I knew this was meant to be. Considering it was tee that consisted of 3 things I like: dots, colour and stripes. So, if you're a fan of polka dots and stripes then I suggest that you go and check out the rest of  the pieces here.

This was an outfitt I wore just yesterday when running errands. Wearing House of Holland -Tee, Jack London- Shorts, Cotton on -Bag and Sunnies,  Topman- Shoes.

Hope your liking the ART direction. I thought trying something fresh and different for this and upcoming post's would make my photo's visually appealing to you guys.

I hope your all having a great week.

Ksubi, ksubi where for art thou ksubi?

So is it just me or does 'Ksubi's ' summer collection seem to be incredibly mouth WATERING?!.I have noticed that ever since this collection has been available online I have been slowly accumulating bits and pieces.  But could you blame me? I think not. The 'Paradise' shirt in particular has been on my list of things to purchase for quite some time now. The print, colour and overall concept of this shirt conveys a strong sense of relaxation, something which I am glad to be doing this summer.Anywho, last week my friend and I planned on having a picnic, but due to to this ridiculous  heat we opted for something cooler and indoors instead. During this time we wondered to west-end and stopped by 'The Cupcake Parlour' where we picked up the two of most delicious cupcakes. I have to say that this is my new favourite place for cupcakes.  If ever you are in Brisbane I highly recommend visiting this place.

Deciding where to go for lunch we discovered the cafe' The Burrow' away from the hustle and bustle of west-end it seemed like perfect place to be on a hot summers day. A place for shelter comfort and gourmet pizzas made us instant fans. Though I did not experience their gourmet pizza I did enjoy their veggie burger.

I am wearing  Brixton Chapter Fedora- Hat, Paradise- Ksubi Shirt, Ben Sherman-Pants , Rings- Asos& Topman -loafers.

Saint Zambesi

Today's outfitt im debuting two new things, my cambridge satchel and sonic jumper by zambesi.  For some weird reason I got so many stares hahaha . Thanks  Brisbane. But any who moving on, I know you's are probably sick of seeing me in my white shirt but it seems that I can't get enough of it. I think I may have to stock up on some. Now for the rest of my outfitt,  Pants are from Ben Sherman and sandals (which I seem to be wearing everyday) are from ASOS.

Let the collar do the talking!

After an entire week of miserable weather in brisbane and melbourne I was glad to see the sun come out after my arrival from melbourne.  When I left for melbourne  I was warned by many that melbourne has horrible weather seeing as you get four seasons in the one day. And now after  my visit, I can happily agree .I can now say with satisfaction that I do appreciate Queensland for its weather.

While in 'civilisation' (something I like to classify melbourne as) I purchased this shirt from the 'Ksubi' boutique. At first when I tried on this baby I wasn't to sure if I should purchase it, so I left the boutique without it and asked myself if I really needed it. And after numerous amounts of walking up and down chapel st I felt that it needed to be mine. I mean, the collar just seems to speak for itself. Wouldn't you agree?! Since the collar seems to make a statement to my outfitt I found wearing black pants and accessories would help compliment the shirt well. Then again, black just seems to be a safe colour for  any outfit hehehe. My watch and sandals were both from asos as well and my sunnies by le specs  named runaways.

Let the pants do the TALKING!

With colour blocking being a popular trend for the summer buying these shorts was an exceptional idea  for the season and for my wardrobe. Although it may be a trend ( colour blocking) I was gladly aware that I was bound for stare's. After all, seeing a guy in bright coloured shorts is something that you don't often see in the streets of Brisbane. On the other hand, paring something with such a bright piece is never an easy decision so making sure that I complimented the shorts without making my entire outfit overbearing was a key factor to choosing a tee.Scrummaging through my wardrobe I stumbled across this parisian inspired shirt purchased from cotton on and found it to be the perfect fit for the shorts.Bracelets from city beach were the perfect way  to add pop of colour to the wrist while also giving some tribal inspired designs to my outfit. The shoes from asos may not have been colourful or exciting but they did the job protecting my feet. Geek chic sunglasses from roger david were just added to this look for some nerdiness. Thoughts on this look? If so comment below!
