Arian Camilleri

Arian Camilleri is a New York city based photographer who specialises in still life. I'm not too sure what it is, but there is something about his work that makes 'still life' more than just a 'photo of a random object'. Whether it may be because  it's photographed beautifully, or that his work conveys a strong message, Camilleri is great at what he does.

Here are some of my favorite photo's of his work.

Lomani HQ.

I've been meaning to do a post on my work space for quite some time now and seeing that I've been a bit busy this week to do a usual outfit post I thought this was the best time to do it. Being a creative person I'm constantly surrounded by pattern , fashion /design magazines , prints and colour. It's never usually this neat, but seeing as I'm doing this post , I thought I would make the effort and tidy up my workspace for you guys.

My walls consist  of nothing less than fashion editorials 'I love' to pieces  that I've created/designed. I'm always interested in seeing what others have in their work space.

So what's genrally in your work space?

LOMANI :)

Ksubi, ksubi where for art thou ksubi?

So is it just me or does 'Ksubi's ' summer collection seem to be incredibly mouth WATERING?!.I have noticed that ever since this collection has been available online I have been slowly accumulating bits and pieces.  But could you blame me? I think not. The 'Paradise' shirt in particular has been on my list of things to purchase for quite some time now. The print, colour and overall concept of this shirt conveys a strong sense of relaxation, something which I am glad to be doing this summer.Anywho, last week my friend and I planned on having a picnic, but due to to this ridiculous  heat we opted for something cooler and indoors instead. During this time we wondered to west-end and stopped by 'The Cupcake Parlour' where we picked up the two of most delicious cupcakes. I have to say that this is my new favourite place for cupcakes.  If ever you are in Brisbane I highly recommend visiting this place.

Deciding where to go for lunch we discovered the cafe' The Burrow' away from the hustle and bustle of west-end it seemed like perfect place to be on a hot summers day. A place for shelter comfort and gourmet pizzas made us instant fans. Though I did not experience their gourmet pizza I did enjoy their veggie burger.

I am wearing  Brixton Chapter Fedora- Hat, Paradise- Ksubi Shirt, Ben Sherman-Pants , Rings- Asos& Topman -loafers.

These boots were made for walking.

So this is possibly one of the most favourite  outfitts that I have done with my trench.  Ever since I purchased this trench I find it  to be one of my favourite staples for this season. I feel so chic whenever I wear it he he he. The chelsea suede boots that I purchased when I was down in melbourne were from  Jack London and they  are by far one of the most comfiest boots I have , normally it takes forever  to break into shoes (especially boots) but these babies were so easy to break into. The shirt that Im wearing is 'Foreign Affair' from saint augustine academy chinos are from asos and trench/mac coat is from River Island.

Let the collar do the talking!

After an entire week of miserable weather in brisbane and melbourne I was glad to see the sun come out after my arrival from melbourne.  When I left for melbourne  I was warned by many that melbourne has horrible weather seeing as you get four seasons in the one day. And now after  my visit, I can happily agree .I can now say with satisfaction that I do appreciate Queensland for its weather.

While in 'civilisation' (something I like to classify melbourne as) I purchased this shirt from the 'Ksubi' boutique. At first when I tried on this baby I wasn't to sure if I should purchase it, so I left the boutique without it and asked myself if I really needed it. And after numerous amounts of walking up and down chapel st I felt that it needed to be mine. I mean, the collar just seems to speak for itself. Wouldn't you agree?! Since the collar seems to make a statement to my outfitt I found wearing black pants and accessories would help compliment the shirt well. Then again, black just seems to be a safe colour for  any outfit hehehe. My watch and sandals were both from asos as well and my sunnies by le specs  named runaways.

arrière-cour aventure

Although today seemed to be a miserable day I decided to take advantge of it and wear my new wellington boots from Hunter.  Stepping and jumping in puddles made me feel like a little kid again. Although I did not own a  pair of wellington boots when I was a kid I decided to put these hunters to good use. Comfy and knee high they were definitely keeping my feet warm and dry. Taking some pictures to document this day I was so inspired by the colour and texture that the bush in my backyard had to offer. MEMORIZED - I must say.

Susie Bubble

A week ago I was fortunate enough to attend a talk that Susie Lau from 'Style Bubble' had here in Brisbane.  Hearing her views on blogging and how she came about was truly inspirational.  With someone that has such a unique sense of style and a informative perception on fashion it easy to see why ms BUBBLE is where she is today. In terms of people who inspire me, susie sure is there!

Other bloggers attended the event as well , another highlight of the night. However me being my shy self I didn't get to meet / introduce myself to them. Next time, I plan to change that around.

Now to explain my outfit .  Blazer and pants are 'Ben Sherman' and have been sitting in my closet for a year. It's possibly the first time they have been worn to an actually outing rather then  in my room.Crisp white shirt with detailing of pleats  from Saint Augustine Academy and shoes aldo. Three words to describe this post:  MESMORIZED  INSPIRING  UK (refering to susie and  my outfitt)

yours truly,
                     bow with the BOW TIE!
