B L U E S

A trend that I have noticed for sometime now is  'Denim on denim' and I thought I would jump on the band wagon and try it out myself.  And I'm actually happen with the way it turned out.

I like the fact that with this Ksubi shirt in particular it may look simple , but it's small details  like the jersey ribbing around the neck and shoulder  zip detaling that takes it to a whole new level. Pairing that with my staple asos jeans , silver rings and reflective sunnies and your in perfect brunch attire cool, stylish and casual.

MONOCHRO for Brunch!

If you've seen my Instagram you know that I've been wearing this jacket around a lot ( even though there is only two photo's of me in the jacket, I still feel like it's a lot haha). I wore this ensemble out to brunch catching up with the lovely Taylor from 'Curvette' while she was in town.

Before hand I was looking for the perfect location to shoot this look with my friend, then I came across this beautiful building at her uni ( you'd understand if your an architect fanatic like us). Originally we were going to shoot just in front and around the building but after being told that it gets fairly busy we opted for in doors instead. And I'm glad we did.  The repetition of wooden panels inside the building made it even more of a place perfect to shoot.

DOTS & STRIPES

Recently british designer 'Henry Holland' collaborated with illustrating duo 'Craig & Carl' (one of my all time favorite illustrators) creating a collection inspired by the world of ice and sweet treats. With the collection debuting Mr & Mrs Quiffy scarfs, shirts, dress, skirts and other bits and pieces. All of which consisted of polka dots and stripes #OHBABY

Ever since I laid my eye's on this 'Mr Quiffy' shirt I knew this was meant to be. Considering it was tee that consisted of 3 things I like: dots, colour and stripes. So, if you're a fan of polka dots and stripes then I suggest that you go and check out the rest of  the pieces here.

This was an outfitt I wore just yesterday when running errands. Wearing House of Holland -Tee, Jack London- Shorts, Cotton on -Bag and Sunnies,  Topman- Shoes.

Hope your liking the ART direction. I thought trying something fresh and different for this and upcoming post's would make my photo's visually appealing to you guys.

I hope your all having a great week.

Ksubi, ksubi where for art thou ksubi?

So is it just me or does 'Ksubi's ' summer collection seem to be incredibly mouth WATERING?!.I have noticed that ever since this collection has been available online I have been slowly accumulating bits and pieces.  But could you blame me? I think not. The 'Paradise' shirt in particular has been on my list of things to purchase for quite some time now. The print, colour and overall concept of this shirt conveys a strong sense of relaxation, something which I am glad to be doing this summer.Anywho, last week my friend and I planned on having a picnic, but due to to this ridiculous  heat we opted for something cooler and indoors instead. During this time we wondered to west-end and stopped by 'The Cupcake Parlour' where we picked up the two of most delicious cupcakes. I have to say that this is my new favourite place for cupcakes.  If ever you are in Brisbane I highly recommend visiting this place.

Deciding where to go for lunch we discovered the cafe' The Burrow' away from the hustle and bustle of west-end it seemed like perfect place to be on a hot summers day. A place for shelter comfort and gourmet pizzas made us instant fans. Though I did not experience their gourmet pizza I did enjoy their veggie burger.

I am wearing  Brixton Chapter Fedora- Hat, Paradise- Ksubi Shirt, Ben Sherman-Pants , Rings- Asos& Topman -loafers.

Zebra on the LOOSE.

Before you say anything. Yes , I do know that this shirt  screams out FLAMBOYANT. But hush. When I first saw this shirt I knew it had to be mine 'LOVE at first sight' some might say. The zebra print obviously got my attention, it seemed like nothing I've ever seen before , I would say it was uniquely different. So I thought why not, YOLO would be the perfect term to use at this time.  On the model it looked incredible and thought it would look the same on me, that obviously had changed when I tried it on.  As I opened up my parcel there it was.....I cringed , scratched my head a little and thought if I even chose the right shirt. I knew that maybe it would look different if i tried it on. But nope, it made me look as though I was ready for a night out to 'FLUFFY' ( gay club in brisbane) no offence. So even though my first impression was not what I expected there were pros for this shirt.  For instance there is plastic within the  collar that gave it structure at the ends of the collar, something which is hard to find with casual shirts like this. And the fact that it was a light weight fabric shows it's perfect for a  summers day.

However as time went by I thought I would give this little baby a chance.  I tried it on a couple of times and from then on it kinda grew on me. So here I am sharing with you this post.  Shirt was by aussie label orphn, bag- cambridge satchel  , loafers -TOPMAN  & cuff- Diesel . Hope you are all well.

These boots were made for walking.

                                                                    Photograhpy- Taylor

So this is possibly one of the most favourite  outfitts that I have done with my trench.  Ever since I purchased this trench I find it  to be one of my favourite staples for this season. I feel so chic whenever I wear it he he he. The chelsea suede boots that I purchased when I was down in melbourne were from  Jack London and they  are by far one of the most comfiest boots I have , normally it takes forever  to break into shoes (especially boots) but these babies were so easy to break into. The shirt that Im wearing is 'Foreign Affair' from saint augustine academy chinos are from asos and trench/mac coat is from River Island.
